Why I take these supplements
Those who have read my supplement routine ask why I take them, so here is my routine again and why.
Vitamin D3 - 5000 iu per day - 1 x 1 daily (AM)
Vitamin C - 1500 mg per day - 500 mg each, 3 x 1 daily (Spread)
Desiccated Liver - 4827 mg per day - 713 mg each, 3 x 2 daily (Spread)
Creatine (Monohydrate) - 10 g per day - 5 g each, 2 x 1 daily (AM & Post)
Zinc - 20mg per day - 20 mg each, 1 x 1 daily (PM)
Magnesium (Amino Acid Chelated) - 450 mg - 1 x 3 daily (PM)
Vitamin K - 5mg per week - 5mg each, 1 x 1 weekly (Anytime)
Those who eat plenty of meat can consider dropping the zinc, some may not feel the magnesium is
necessary, it can help with insulin sensitivity etc. If people are lean and don't suffer from problems
such as cramps etc then feel free to drop it. Vitamin k is below zinc and magnesium because of it's
frequency of use, however it is involved in a lot more and for such a small dosage, the bang for
buck is very high for on tablet approximately once a week, this is very cheap and can support your
health for such a small cost. Zinc is for proper testosterone production and it also prevents some
testosterone from being converted into estrogen. Vitamin c and Vitamin d have a large magnitude ofbenefits to general health, the reason we spread the vitamin c intake is to maintain plasma and more
importantly tissue levels being saturated, you can only uptake to your tissue from plasma so fast and
this is why we spread it. Vitamin c also works in tandem with desiccated liver (copper) is essential
for proper collagen/elastin metabolism which is extremely important for maintaining the strength
and flexibility of your tendons, without enough vitamin c and copper your tendons will become
vulnerable to tearing. Vitamin C is also very good for those who use gear, it helps not only with
tendon strength (which AAS reduces) but it also helps to strengthen arteries and the information
regarded vitamin c and kidney stones is a complete myth. Some vitamins you don't want to go
overboard on, for example vitamin A and we get this in abundance, fortunately desiccated liver is
deffated and reduces part of that potential problem, desiccated liver also actually provides on a
nutrient basis approximately 20 grams of fresh liver. It is extremely nutrient dense, nothing comes
close. Another good reason to get your copper from desiccated liver is because of minimal
interferences, you see copper is important for counterbalancing the levels of zinc (a good ratio is
1:10 copper/zinc) but copper on it's own supplemented can compete with others and cause issues
requiring further supplements to be added such as amino acid chelated copper, it is far simpler to
add the desiccated liver and gain the additional benefits from this nutrient dense supplement such as
B vitamins. Too much copper and/or not enough zinc will harm your testosterone levels, it's the
ratio that matters most. On the other hand too much zinc and/or not enough copper can cause
aneurysms, hernias (especially of the spinal discs), tendon tears, osteoporosis, heart disease and
strokes. Copper deficiency is a silent killer, most modern diets are low in copper because we no
longer eat organ meats regularly like our ancestors did.
Some people may ask why I recommend supplements which are constantly spouted in magazines,
well it's because these can't be patented that they aren't featured more frequently. For example you
can't patent vitamin C, so there's no real money to be made from it.
